FFA students with 9 goats

Last week we traveled to Raleigh with the show goats from Gray's Creek High to compete in the State Fair livestock competitions.  These goats were bred and born on our campus and have been cared for by our Animal Science students since the babies were born starting in March.

Our students use this as a learning experience to gain knowledge about the animal science industry. Those that attended have worked nearly 100 hours each in preparation for the State Fair "finale" to include feeding, grooming, exercising, training, and showing in the last eight months...they have gained some real-life experience in time management, teamwork, and responsibility!

We brought home some winning ribbons and lots of good memories.  Check out some of the photos and please help congratulate these students for their hard work.  Thanks for the support of our program!
